Welcome to my blog! This blog was set up so that you can see what I have made and get a feel for what I can do. I love sewing and new challenging projects.

Need a dress for a special occasion but can't find it in the right color, size, style, length, etc? then you've come to the right place! Together we can figure out exactly what you're looking for and I can put it together just for you.

Fashion Show: Spring into Fashion 2012

I was asked by Chrystel at Shirtley Fabrics here in Roosevelt to design and sew 5 dresses for the fashion show that was put on, on March 10 2012. Here is what I made.............I'd like to add that the 5th dress was made in just 1 1/2 days, a mere 3 days before the Fashion Show. It was a rushed, last minute favor.

Skirts for a Wedding

My cousin's cousin was getting married and as weddings go, got super busy and didn't have time to make skirts for the girls, so she asked me to. Here are 3 of the 4 skirts I made. (No pattern, just measurements)

My wedding dress

This is the dress I made for my wedding. (I also made my veil, hair clip, petticoat and garter belt)  This was over 10 years ago and my skills have improved quite a bit since then. Looking at this I can see all the things I could have done better/different.

Blessing Dresses

Here are the blessing dresses I have made.

this one I made for fun and sold, so I never got to see the baby in it

This I made for my daughter, she was only 6 pounds so this dress is basically a doll dress

my tiny baby in her tiny dress

Birthday Dress Request

My best friend sent me fabric, notions and a pattern and asked that I make a dress for her daughters second birthday. It was a fun dress and think it turned out well.

Just for fun

Sometimes, I just sew for the fun of it. I love creating!!

again, this is my teeny little girl.....barely 6 pounds, so this is practically a doll dress.

Easter Dresses

A friend asked me to make these for her girls for Easter.

sorry, I thought I had a picture of the girls in the dresses, if I find it I will add it to this post

My sister asked me to make these for her girls for Easter.

Aprons, Aprons, Aprons

I got onto a bit of an apron kick. First it started out just as gifts for the girls I visit teach, then it expanded o a bunch of friends and my sisters and of course I couldn't leave my kids out.

I found this one from a few years back, these are the first aprons I made them, simple, straight design. As you can clearly see, they were excited mostly about the front pocket. :)
PS. they're covered in flour because they helped me make bread.
